Yoga can be intimidating at first, just like anything else in life. Remember, we’ve all been there for that first-time experience. We are here to support you and answer any questions you may have every step of the way. Our studio and classes are made to fit everyone and anyone. Here are some helpful tips…
If you are new to the studio, make sure that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class to sign in and get settled before your class begins. Doors open 20 minute prior to every class.
Yoga mat, mat towel, shower towel, water bottle, comfy clothes to practice in.
Please note we have mats, towels and water bottles for rent or purchase at the studio.
Practicing on an empty stomach or a small healthy snack is also beneficial during your practice.
The most important part of class (outside of Savasanna) – make sure you drink water before class, bring water to class, and drink lots after each class. Proper hydration is crucial to a positive and successful routine. Hydrating throughout the day prior to coming will benefit you throughout your yoga class.
Please remember that general yoga studio etiquette applies. Silence in the practice room, shoes off at the door, when entering a yoga room the student should stay quiet. “It is considered a meditation space,” when you walk into the room, even if class doesn’t start for another few minutes, you should move quietly and talk as little as possible. In our studio, with multiple yoga rooms and therapy rooms, you may need to talk quietly before and after class as well, to ensure you don’t disturb others.
Listen to your body, each and every day is different. What do you need in your practice? How can you best serve you? You are your own greatest teacher. Don’t take yourself too seriously and have fun!
