Summer Solstice Crystal Journey Concert

Summer Solstice ~ Crystal Journey and David Hickey performs with 8-10 Paiste Planet, Symphonic and Sound Creation Gongs. Every Gong features a strong fundamental note tuned to represent a natural harmonic series based on the orbital properties of the Sun, the Earth, the Moon and the other planets. This Theory is based upon Pythagorean Cosmology.

2 Persian Santoor's. The Santoor is an Indo-Persian trapezoid-shaped hammered dulcimer or string musical instrument made of walnut with seventy-two strings. It is the national musical instrument of Iran. It dates back to ancient time, Mesopotamia (1600-911 BC) and Babylonia. It's a Beautiful sounding instrument often sounding like a piano. The Gongs and Santoor are accompanied by 6-8 Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls. Each produces a pure note or tone, the purest there is.

About the bowls:

Crystals are fossilized water. When silica sand and water are combined under certain conditions of pressure, temperature and energy, crystals are formed. Quartz Crystal is known to amplify, transform, store, focus, and transfer energy; and is found in such common objects as microphones, radio, television, time pieces, laser tools, and computers. The human body is crystalline in structure, which leads to the crystals having a profound effect on our organs, tissues, cells, circulatory, endocrine, and metabolic systems.

About the gongs:

Gongs belong to the oldest and most important musical instruments of South East Asia. Their origins may be traced back to the second millennium B.C., but it is assumed that the gong is much older. In Chinese history, gongs are mentioned around 500 A.D., attributed to a nation called HSI YU between Tibet and Burma during the reign of Emperor Hsuan Wu.

Join Eddie and Kristin for 6 days of Yoga on the Inside at Invati Yoga Lake Country!

Yoga on the Inside is a method of yoga that was developed out of our many combined years of study and practice. During our classes, we ask our students to turn their attention inwards, bringing themselves into a more meditative state as they work with the body. As Patanjali outlined in the Yoga Sutras, we have found this delicate balance between softness and strength to be where the true experience of oneness, or yoga, resides.

With a strong focus on structural alignment, this practice gives students the tools to take healing into their own hands and watch as their efforts bring deep change to all layers of their beings– physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Throughout this workshop, we will explore all categories of the asana practice from standing poses, inversions, backward bending, forward bending, hip openers and twists. By cultivating mindfulness through the practice of Yoga on the Inside, we can develop more self-awareness, and a compassionate connection to our inner being. This can allow us to open the doors to inner peace, balance, and profound transformation.

This workshop is open to individuals of all yoga levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. It offers an opportunity to dive deep into the essence of yoga, embracing its transformative power to heal and nurture your body, mind, and soul.

We work very therapeutically and have a passion for helping those with specific ailments. If you are dealing with an ailment that you would like us to address please let us know at the beginning of class.

Practiced on a paddleboard floating in a body of water, SUP Yoga challenges your balance, strengthens your core, and cultivates a deep sense of presence. Join us at Beasley Park on Wood Lake for a fun paddle board yoga class. No paddle board or yoga experience necessary, just a sense of humour, sunscreen, and an outfit you don't mind potentially getting wet!

Kangatraining is a complete workout during which both cardiovascular endurance/flexibility and muscular capacity/strength are enhanced. Unlike traditional exercise classes, new mums need not worry about finding a babysitter or minding an unsettled baby during class because the babies are worn on them and get to be part of the action! As well as the physical benefits, the opportunity to meet other local mums in a fun, relaxed environment boosts their emotional wellbeing.

The pelvic floor and abdominal muscles as well as correct posture are given special attention. Kangatrainers are also trained in babywearing best practices and can help mums ensure the safest and most comfortable carrying positions for their babies.

The name ‘Kangatraining’ comes from ‘Winnie the Poo’ where by the Kanga mother dotes on her playful and energetic baby joey Roo!

Kangatraining Instructors:

As mums of young children themselves, Kangatraining instructors understand that embarking on a post-baby fitness program can be daunting. All instructors are fully certified, having completed a training course in Melbourne, first aid certifications, and exams in anatomy, postnatal health, and babywearing safety.

When to start

You can begin Kangatraining once you have been given the “all clear” from your health professional to resume exercising postpartum. This can be anywhere from 6-10 weeks or slightly longer following a caesarean section. Our Kangatrainers will ask you to complete a health questionnaire to highlight any concerns so that they may modify the exercises in the workout for you. To see results sooner it is advised to attend a Kangatraining class once a week and workout with the DVD at home twice a week!

Babywearing Safety

Without a doubt, safety is the number one consideration when using a baby carrier. Many popular carriers, although not posing an immediate threat, are not optimally designed to support the natural development of baby’s hips and spine. Babies should be worn in a carrier that ensures that their legs are supported, in an “M” position with knees splayed out, and facing inward towards the wearer.

You are welcome to bring your carrier that our trainers will assess as to its suitability for the class. We will also assist you in getting the best fit and comfort for you and your baby. There will be demo carriers available at each class to try out or hire on an ongoing basis.

Every Kangatraining instructor works closely with a Babywearing Consultant to ensure correct babywearing practices are met.

So come along and give it a go, you and your baby will love it!
